Ellen davis

Ellen Davis is a scrappy sax player with no musical educational credentials.  Born to a musical family, long ago in a galaxy far, far away (OK, Rhode Island isn’t that far away), she picked up a saxophone at the age of 12 and never wanted to put it down.  When she joined the Stage Band in high school, she discovered that the most fun she would ever have playing saxophone, was when she was playing music of the Big Band era.  She is thrilled to be playing with SheBop, and can also be seen performing with The Newport Community Band at Salve Regina University, the Salve Regina University Jazz Ensemble, and Larry Brown’s Swinglane Orchestra.
