erin healy
Erin Healey is a former high school English teacher turned Instructional Coach, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Rhode Island's College of Education. She holds an undergraduate music performance minor, and has performed in a wide variety of musical ensembles throughout Rhode Island; everything from marching bands, to brass quintets, to pit orchestras, to big bands! Highlights of Erin's musical experiences include closing the Newport Jazz Festival with British pop star Jamie Cullum, playing alongside jazz artist and instrument designer Roger Ingram, honoring our veterans at several Waterfire performances, and for a few years, acting as musical director for her students' theatre program. She continues to perform as a freelance player and an active member and leader in the nation's oldest continuous community concert band, The American Band. In her free time, you can usually find Erin out on the bike path pushing a jogging stroller with her son, and pulling on her puppy's leash, while simultaneously trying not to spill her iced Dunkin.
