MADDIE Landers
Maddie Landers grew up listening to epic movie music from John Williams but when she was in 6th grade, her dad gave her a CD featuring Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. She was hooked on jazz and poured all that passion into playing trombone. She was known as "the HOUSE" in high school because of her powerful, unexpectedly loud tone. After earning her bachelor's in music education at Gordon College, she spent a few years teaching music in public schools throughout New England. After receiving her Master's in Arts Teaching at Bridgewater State, she stepped away from the public school setting to create her own specialized music studio. Maddie had always hoped to be in an all-female jazz band and after 17 years of performing, that dream has finally come true.
