Marliese is a graduate of Foxboro High and is a proud drop out of the University of Miami where she briefly pursued a degree in Studio Music and Jazz Performance. While the conservatory environment was not a good fit, she continued teaching and playing professionally on a part-time basis through the completion of her BA in PoliSci from UMass Boston and her JD from UMass Law. A musical mercenary throughout the years, Marliese has been a go-to substitute for big bands, jazz combos, musical theater and sacred music in the Massachusetts metro area.
Marliese's muse in the pursuit of bass playing and jazz composition is Charles Mingus. Her current obsession is Louis Cole, a modern jazz musician composing irreverent pop music only a hair off of fourth wave jazz.
When not working as a banking professional or a musician, Marliese enjoys frogs, cooking too much soup, patronage of minor league sports and making bad decisions about cars..
