MARY St. Laurent sheenan
Mary St. Laurent-Sheehan, Lead Trumpet
Mary St. Laurent-Sheehan is a graduate of the Armed Forces School of Music and studied under the direction of Joseph Foley at Rhode Island College. She is an alumnus of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she performed with the Parris Island Marine Band and continues to play with the Band of America’s Few. Mary is the principal trumpet with Narragansett Bay Symphony, and performs with the Ocean State Pops Orchestra, the Firebird Pops Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John’s, the Tri-County Symphonic Band, the Flamingo Big Band, and the Marion Concert Band. Mary also enjoys performing in many of the local musicals in New England. Mary has had the opportunity to perform in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic with Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as throughout the United States and Canada with the Parris Island Marine Band and the Band of America’s Few. During her “day job”, Mary works for Our Lady of Fatima Hospital as an administrative secretary and transcriptionist. |
