PENNY LARSON

​Penny Larson is a lifelong Boston-based drummer. She has played in a variety of styles, including being a founding member of instrumental prog-rock trio Hypaspace, recording and touring with Bryan McPherson, and for 16 years being part of the Music Worship Team at The Crossing in downtown Boston. For 37 years she’s been teaching private drumset lessons, the last 22 of which have been at DiCenso’s Drum Shop in Weymouth, MA. Penny has received numerous awards including the Youth Concerts at Symphony Hall Composition award from Berklee College of Music in 1998 and the Hit Like a Girl Drum Set Contest 40+ Championship in 2019.
