BY DAY: a (not so) mild mannered engineer. BY NIGHT: a hopeless band geek, though she prefers the term action nerd. Suzie plays a wide variety of brass and woodwind instruments, although the only woodwinds she will openly admit to playing are all in the saxophone family. She plays every sax from sopranino to bass, and is a sucker for the opportunity to bring out the rare saxes. She is a founding member of an American Legion band and 2 saxophone quartets, and is currently a member of 6 bands, sometimes going as far as the University of Connecticut to play. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s Degrees in Construction Management and Civil Engineering. At home, she is owned by her cats Nala, Boo and Macchiato and ferrets Lilo, Gris, Scarlett, GusGus, and Elsa, all of whom are all music critics, especially of the high saxes, She also really likes dinosaurs. Professionally Suzie is an engineer who coordinates construction projects for MassDOT on the south shore, Cape and islands. She is the administrator of a proprietary construction scheduling software system for the state of Massachusetts.
